Join the Cycle – 10th to 16th of November 2025
Councils and community groups have played a central role in the 25 years of Planet Ark's National Recycling Week. Use our free resources to help your community:
- Recycle more and reduce waste and contamination
- Make positive environmental changes at home, work, and in the community.
How to ‘Join the Cycle’
Our tagline remains "Join the Cycle", encouraging all Australians to take action not just around recycling, but the wider waste hierarchy – working towards a circular economy alongside government and business. This year, Planet Ark will be highlighting the themes of Packaging and E-Waste, but we encourage local councils to use National Recycling Week to empower and educate your local community in recycling or waste issues specific to your area.
Logos, Council Info & Media Releases
Councils, schools and community groups can add their logos to our assets for free.
For-profit businesses that would like to use the National Recycling Week name or logo for promotional purposes must contact us for permission. We kindly request copies of any materials featuring the National Recycling Week logo (JPG, EPS, and PDF formats) be shared with us before they are distributed.
For any enquiries, email recycling@planetark.com

BehaviourWorks Australia ran a series of trials with local councils and support from Planet Ark to explore what behaviour change messaging can successfully help Australians improve their recycling practices. It was the largest program of coordinated waste behaviour change trials ever in Australia. For more information on the program read the Summary Report or go to BehaviourWorks Australia's Kerbside Contamination Research page.
