Cartridges 4 Planet Ark is funded by our participating manufacturers and printer cartridges are recycled by Close the Loop—making it free, easy and convenient to use.

How to register for a collection box

Don't have a box yet? Workplaces, schools, universities and other organisations that use at least three (3) cartridges a month may be eligible for a free collection box. Used printer cartridges must be from any of our participating manufactuers.

How to recycle your cartridges

Drop them off

Households and small businesses with three (3) or less used cartridges to recycle can drop them off for free. Cartridges 4 Planet Ark has over 1,500 public drop-off locations around Australia!

Collection boxes are located at various retailers, businesses, and community centres. Search our directory to find your closest drop-off point.

Free pick-up for collection boxes

When the bag is full, visit the 'Collection Eligibility Tool' on Close the Loop's Member Portal to see if you qualify for free pick-up. The bag will be collected from your location in 2-10 business days.

If you don't qualify for pick-up, use the free reply-paid label on your bag. Simply seal the bag and drop it off at any Australia Post outlet.
