Recycling Tips

All containers must be empty (no liquids or solids) but do not need to be rinsed. All items must be placed 'loose' in the recycling bin and not enclosed in a plastic bag. Please do not use bin liners as these and other plastic bags wrap around conveyor rollers in the sorting facility. Plastic bags and other plastic films can instead be taken to the Mildura Transfer Station off Ontario Avenue for recycling. Collection of medical waste should be arranged with a Prescribed Waste Collector though household medical waste may be disposed of in your rubbish bin. No medical waste is to be disposed of in the recycling bin as it could be hazardous to the people sorting the recycling.
