Please wash all glass and plastic bottles and containers prior to placing them in Yellow Bins. Please collect your soft plastic items and place in REDCycle bins outside Coles and Woolworths supermarkets. Council hosts regular workshops on composting and worm farms. Recycling Tips
Remove lids, rinse out containers (in dirty dish washing water) and place items loosely in the recycling bin.
Do not tie recyclables up in plastic bags, plastic bags cannot be recycled at the Materials Recovery Facility in Mackay.
If you are unsure about what can be recycled check the sticker on the lid of the recycling bin or call the Waste Hotline on 4968 4585.
