Kerbside Recycling Services in the Kiama Municipal Council area

Below are the kerbside recycling services provided by your local Council.

Kerbside Service - General Waste

Accepted Materials

Recycling Tips

Your recyclables do not have to be washed, just empty. But if you do want to rinse them, save water by rinsing them in your leftover dish water.

Do not bag your recyclables in plastic bags. Put them loose in your yellow lid recycling bin.

Plastics containers and packaging from the kitchen, bathroom and laundry that cannot be scrunched into a ball are recyclable.

Remove all lids or caps from bottles and put them in the red lid garbage bin.

Polystyrene is not recyclable and should be put in your red lid garbage bin.

Put your food and garden waste in your green lid organics bin. This material will be recycled into compost.
