The centre accepts plastics, polystyrene, and blister packs FROM HORNSBY COUNCIL RESIDENTS ONLY as per the Hornsby Council website. Proof of residency is required. All other materials are accepted from non-residents.
The Thornleigh Community Recycling Centre (CRC) makes it easy for residents to safely dispose of problem wastes that cannot go into household garbage bins or kerbside collection.
This is a free service for households.
Commercial quantities of paint accepted through the Paintback scheme.
Approved participant in the National TV & Computer Recycling Scheme, service provided through TechCollect .

Additional information: Open: Tuesday to Friday, 8.30am-4pm; Saturday 8.30am-12pm. Closed Public Holidays.

Fire Extinguishers
Hard Plastics - plastic buckets, crates, pots, washing baskets, plastic bottle caps and lids, plastic toys, CD and DVD cases etc.
Tip: Every part of the item must be plastic – no metal parts, batteries, or electronic components. The maximum length of hard plastic items is limited to 1.5m and items must weigh less than 20 kilograms
