The Recovery Centre encompassing the Glenorchy Tipshop,Recovery shop,education trail, ewaste facility and C and D/C and I recovery MRFS is situated at the front end of the GCC Jackson St Waste Management Centre and has been in continuous operation for over 25 years diverting 3500 tonnes plus of recoverable materials per annum.Recovery invests heavily in community projects focused on diversion, reuse and repair of recovered products from the waste stream 363 days per year fully audited . Recovery develops social capital in Tasmania through funding and supporting community art projects.Recovery currently achieves 157'000 customers per anum at our Centre.
Approved participant in the National TV & Computer Recycling Scheme, service provided through Drop Zone .
Accreditation: Waste training and accreditation, Waste auditing, Waste systems analysis, marketing and sales, Waste infrastructure designers, Education program designers and delivery, State spokesperson for waste
